PriceSpark is a Windows app with a Google Chrome extension that recognizes a product, finds it in many shops, works out the real cost of buying it with delivery and checks whether today’s price really is a deal — then keeps an eye on it for you. Your products, price history, and settings stay on your computer.

PriceSpark watches the product, not a single web address. Open a product in Chrome, click the PriceSpark icon (or press Alt+Shift+K) and choose “Find cheaper”. The app recognizes the exact product and variant — by EAN code, manufacturer code, brand, model, and specifications — and looks for it in shops, price comparison sites, and marketplaces. Identical offers are kept apart from other variants, bundles and accessories.

### How it works

1. **Open a product in Chrome and click the PriceSpark icon.** The app recognizes the product and variant.
2. **“Find cheaper”.** PriceSpark shows the lowest real cost — the price with delivery to your country, with currency converted at the current rate.
3. **Monitor and wait for the right moment.** Prices are checked in the background, the app builds a history and notifies you when the cost drops to your threshold.

### Deal rating

The deal engine compares today’s price with the product’s history — minimum, average, and median — instead of trusting “sale” and “−50%” labels. Every product gets a rating: Great, Good, Average or Overpriced.

### Travel and subscriptions

Search flights, stays, and vacation packages across several sites at once, with results in a single table and the cheapest offer highlighted. Every travel search runs in a new, empty Chrome profile — sites cannot see your history. The subscriptions module compares more than 40 services (streaming, music, audiobooks, cloud storage, VPN, password managers, games, AI tools) with the price shown per month.

### Chrome extension

Chrome does not let apps install extensions on their own, so you load the PriceSpark extension once, by hand — a wizard in the app guides you through each step and detects by itself when the extension has connected.

**Frequently asked questions:**

- **Does PriceSpark buy things for me?** No. PriceSpark finds offers, works out the cost and notifies you about price changes. You make the purchase yourself, in the shop of your choice.
- **How do you know it is the same product?** The app first compares unambiguous codes (EAN/GTIN, manufacturer code), then brand, model and variant, and only then names and specifications. Other variants, bundles and accessories are marked separately.
- **How often are prices checked?** By default every 6–12 hours for each monitored offer; you can set the range yourself in Settings.
- **Do I need to keep the browser open?** Background price checks work without the product page open. Some sites need a browser — the extension opens them in the background in a separate tab group and closes them after the check.
- **Does PriceSpark work without the internet?** No. PriceSpark requires a constant internet connection — it checks prices in shops, and the license is confirmed continuously. After about 2–3 minutes without a connection to the license server, features are locked and come back on their own once the connection is restored.
- **Does the app collect my data?** Your products, price history, and settings are stored locally on your computer. Only license data goes to the license server, and only queries about offers go to shops.
- **How do I install the Chrome extension?** Chrome does not let apps install extensions on their own, so you load the PriceSpark extension once, by hand. A wizard in the app guides you through each step and detects by itself when the extension has connected.
- **Which shops are supported?** Large shops, marketplaces and price comparison sites in Poland, Germany and the Czech Republic, as well as shops found through search engines. You turn shops and markets on and off in the settings.
- **How do I move the license to a new computer?** The license works on one computer. You can transfer it from your customer account on the website — no more than once every 30 days.
- **Which purchase options are available?** A prepaid monthly subscription — before the period ends you receive a payment link, with no automatic charges — or a one-off license, for an indefinite period while the service is running.
